Accessibility and Wi-Fi

Accessibility

The Dock Museum spans two floors and is fully accessible to wheelchair users, as is our landscaped waterfront site.

We also have a manual wheelchair available for use during your visit.

Touch tours for those with visual impairments are available if required, whether you are a group or an individual visiting. Please let us know in advance if you require this service.

Parking for disabled drivers is available close to the main entrance and on the main museum car park. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Free Wi-Fi

Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Dock Museum is able to provide free WiFi to its visitors.

Visitors can connect to the service from their smartphones and tablets in different areas of the museum, from the galleries to the shop and café.

Did you know that more than 50% of our collection can be viewed online?  This includes the popular shipbuilding photographic collection, the Vickers Photographic Archive.
